Polices and Client Expectations
The policies below help ensure safety, professionalism, and a consistent client experience.

Appointments
- New clients must complete an intake form prior to service.
- Returning clients must notify the therapist of any changes in health.
- Mobile clients must provide a clean, quiet, and safe space for setup.
- All appointments are by referral or vetted request only.

Cancellation & Non-Show Policy
- Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to fees. Requested late cancellations may be result in resisted booking privileges.

Intake & Health Information
- All clients are required to complete an intake form prior to their first session and update information as changes occur.

Payment
- Payment is required at booking via MassageBook or Square Invoice.

Professional Conduct
- Strict professional boundaries are maintained at all times.
- Inappropriate or suggestive behavior will result in immediate termination of the session and dismissal from the practice.
- The therapist reserves the right to decline or discontinue services for any reason related to safety or ethics.

Health & Safety
- Clients must disclose any new injuries, medications, or conditions.
- Services may be modified or declined if contraindicated.
- All equipment and surfaces are sanitized before and after sessions.

Draping & Clothing Requirements
- Professional draping is required for all unclothed services.
- Assisted stretching requires comfortable, flexible clothing.
- MLD uses specialized draping for proper lymphatic access.

Scope of Practice
- Massage therapy services are non-medical in nature and not a substitute for medical care.
HSA & FSA Payments
Breathe to Wellness, LLC accepts HSA and FSA cards for eligible therapeutic services. Clients are responsible for ensuring that their service qualifies under their insurance or benefits plan.
Eligibility Requirements
- To use HSA/FSA funds, services must be deemed medically necessary.
- A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is required before booking.
The LMN should include:
- The medical reason for massage therapy
- The duration approved
- Frequency (how often sessions may be received)
- Provider signature
Important Notes
- Clients must verify eligibility with their benefits provider.
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage offered is non–post-op only at this time.
- For clients using traditional health insurance payment is due at the time services are rendered.
- Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed and clients are responsible for verifying eligibility and coverage with their insurance provider.
What to Expect
Before your Session

- The therapist may ask clarifying questions to ensure safe and appropriate care.
- Setup time (10–15 minutes) may be required prior to the session start.
During your Session
- Strict professional draping is maintained at all times for safety and comfort.
- Pressure and techniques are customized based on your goals and needs.
- AMT and deep tissue work are performed only when appropriate and safe.
- Assisted stretching requires flexible clothing and adequate space.
- MLD uses specialized draping techniques for proper access.
- Communication is welcomed throughout the session regarding comfort level.
After your Session
- Recommendations may be provided for stretching, hydration, or self-care.
- Clients are encouraged to move gently and remain hydrated after bodywork.
- Follow-up sessions may be suggested based on your goals and therapist assessment.
